The Summer Thaw

The coming thaw is often quick.
Warm wafting winds will heal chapped lips.
Once limber limbs that lean with frost
Will breathe back life they thought was lost.

If all the world cycles around,
Then so does life also rebound.
This long sought thaw was bound to rise
As flowers bloom beneath spring skies.

Some winters are worse than others,
Which just makes for sweeter summers.
This time of years to most embrace
And not worry of winter’s waste.

While deep winters are dark and cold,
Keep close summers that warm your soul.
