The sun resets over the hills
As night creeps from the far abyss
And stars begin to dot the skies
As chilly winds freely persist.
One thought that makes this sight so bright
Is knowing that it will reverse.
Tomorrow’s rise will fill your eyes
With warmth that fills your heart with bliss.
But now watch on the end of day:
A death that glows so strong and fair;
Knowing full well it will return
After dark night has had its turn.
It shall not cease, so long as we
Hold close our closest memories.
