What’s Truly Right

Sometimes it’s hardest to just say goodbye,
especially when your heart can’t decide:
Leaving what’s easy, or doing what’s right,
while in your mind you continually fight.

And you might ask others what you should do.
Only to learn what your heart always knew:
That only you can choose how your tale ends.
Only in you rests this power to mend.

We don’t always see how great is the sun,
until it sets, after the day is done.
It might seem too soon, too late, or a shame,
but know that tomorrow brings forth new flame.

One sun might set, but another is born.
Keep this in mind, when your heart feels forlorn.
