The real fear

Sometimes you are your own worst enemy.
The one who stands in the way of success.
The one who breeds self-animosity,
And heeds unwelcome, internal distress.

When you think you’re bound by shackles of steel,
Realize that these bonds are all make believe.
And the only thing that is truly real
Is what your heart truly seeks to achieve.

You might say you can’t, but really you won’t.
Fear isn’t bad; only fearing your heart.
Fear is something that you’ll have to confront
If ever you wish for your life to restart.

Know that you are the god of your life.
You are the soul master of all of your strife.
