I like the beach, when it’s late in the day,
After the heat, and the crowds gone away.
The sea still shines, beneath the fading sun.
Such glorious glimmer, can’t be outdone.
A cool breeze blows, in the late afternoon.
In some ways this day, it ends much too soon.
The sun began bald, but bright in the sky.
Now bald again, it falls down as it dies.
Time to reflect, like the shimmering sea;
All of the things, that the sun means to me:
The giver of light, it is who we are.
We all derive life, and love from our star.
That’s why I like, the beach late in the day.
It’s why I return, and in this spot stay.
